After significant growth in the past year, we're seeking an organized, detail-oriented administrative assistant to help streamline our operations, enhance our marketing efforts, and support ongoing business development initiatives.

Position Overview

The Administrative & Marketing Assistant will work directly with the farm owner to manage daily administrative tasks, develop marketing strategies, coordinate with business partners, and implement efficient systems. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has an interest in the local flower industry.

Flower Farm Assistant

  • Contribute to field maintenance through weeding and watering

  • Join our harvesting team during peak flower seasons

Flower Farm Apprentice (2 Positions Available)

Janniebird Farm is excited to offer two apprenticeship positions for individuals passionate about sustainable agriculture, floral design, and small business development. This educational opportunity provides hands-on experience in all aspects of flower farming in exchange for your time and enthusiasm.

The Apprenticeship Experience

Our apprenticeship program is a knowledge-exchange opportunity where your dedicated time on the farm is rewarded with comprehensive training and education. While this is an unpaid position, the value comes through immersive learning experiences, mentorship, and taking home fresh flowers throughout the season. You'll gain practical skills and knowledge that would typically cost hundreds in workshop fees, while becoming part of our vibrant farm community.

Your Role on the Farm

Apprentices are integral team members who contribute to all aspects of farm operations while learning through guided instruction:

  • Master harvesting methods for optimal vase life

  • Assist with post-harvest handling and bouquet creation

  • Contribute to farm maintenance and organization
